or e-mail: belairgardens@grenadines.net Combination Villa/Yacht Package This quaint holiday cottage is nestled... in a hillside banana grove with breath- taking views of the Grenadines. Located on a private 3 acre estate adjacent to government forest, Belair Gardens Cottage, offers a tranquil setting where you can unwind and soak up the beauty of this little known Caribbean island. |
|
This fabulous view encompasses 14 islands of the Grenadines chain and on a clear day includes St.Vincent, some 37 miles to the north. Bordering Government Reserve Land, wild life abounds at Belair Gardens Cottage including banana quits, melodic mocking birds, semi-wild macaws, doves, manacou, chameleons, iguanas, and more. |
The 400 square foot cottage accommodates two people comfortably with a queen size bed on the main floor, but will sleep 4 with an additional double bed in the sleeping loft. A fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with separate outdoor solar hot water shower, and a deck with a hammock are featured for your comfort. No need for mosquito nets or fans as there is always a cool breeze up on this windward hillside. Your privacy and tranquillity is assured as the cottage is located away from the main house, in which the owners live, and has a separate driveway. |
Belair Gardens Cottage is about
2 miles outside of the main town of Hillsborough. A scenic,
winding road takes you through the countryside and ascends to
the village of Belair, some 700 feet above sea level. A jeep
rental is recommended for those who wish to tour all the
interesting sights on the island and to get to all the beaches.
There are buses which go to and from Belair and Hillsborough a
few times a day. Taxis are available, too. The kitchen has a gas stove
with oven, refrigerator, toaster, and is fully equipped to meet your
cooking needs. Complimentary homemade bread or muffins are included on
your arrival. Sometimes there are fruit and vegetables available from the
estate. Your kitchen can be stocked with basic items for you if you arrive
on the island after shops are closed. All linens are provided along with
beach towels. Laundry service is available at a reasonable price.
Electricity in the cottage is 110V and 220V, 50Hz. Local phone calls for
dinner reservations or taxis can be made from the main house. Coin and
card phones are in town and in most villages..... and the outside shower
is simply what you had hoped for on this private piece of paradise. OUR RATES 2002/2003 US$540 per week during period 15 December thru 15 April US$420 per week rest of the year (Maximum 4 persons, children okay, no smokers/pets) |
